On Friday 9th October at 2pm, W5 will be hosting top NCAA officials in a presentation on NCAA athletics and the opportunities available for student athletes in Northern Ireland. There are limited spots remaining for coaches and young athletes & you can reserve yours by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The focus of this event is to:
– Explain the NCAA and the academic and athletic requirements for students to participate.
– Describe the Universities involved in the Friendship Four Tournament and the athletic opportunities available at their Universities.
– Gives athletic and academic motivation to Northern Ireland student athletes.
– Improve networks for Northern Ireland athletes and coaches to NCAA universities.

This is the first event of the Friendship Four Hockey Tournament taking place on November 27th and 28th. For the first time, NCAA division I hockey will take to the ice to play competitive games outside the USA. UMass Lowell, Northeastern University, Brown University and Colgate University will be competing in the inaugural Friendship Four Hockey Tournament in the Belfast SSE Arena – home of the Giants. The four-team tournament is expected to draw large numbers of spectators from across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, GB and America. As part of these games 12,000 students from across Northern Ireland will be receiving complimentary tickets. The atmosphere of the games promises to be one of the most exciting sporting events in Belfast in 2015!
